Electronic arts- 0100101110101101.ORG
0100101110101101.ORG produced a virus, with the intent not to harm computers but to simply survive, to spread through computers and also spread in awarenes of people.
The virus code was not only spread digitally but also printed on t-shirts and postcards and before creating the virus they warned people about it, including major anti virus companies.
The main concept of this project it seems is to be to let people understand viruses better. However it has produced a lot of hysteria and it's uncertain whether this was also part of the plan..

Electronic arts- Cory Arcangel
Cory Arcangel creates electronic art by gathering the huge data files such as computors' memory files and fooling quicktime into thinking they're videos. when you press play you witness an "electronic dream", psychodelic colours and shepes flashing and changing on screen with scratchy beeps and static as background noise. This could be said to be a visual representation of a computer's "unconcious".

Developing an online presence
Options for developing an online presence:
1. create a blog(on blogger.com) - a simple one page site with posts organised by date
2. Use wordpress - a blog site similar to blogger but with a little more functions
3. Create a website with GoogleWeb - half way between a blog and a website. organised into multiple pages like a website but following a template.
4. Create my own website with Dreamweaver - most difficult. can personalise completely.
I have decided to create a website with Google Web because it is more organised than a blog, with multiple pages, but easier to create and update.
